Peace and blessings my Happy Vegans! 

Today is the day! It’s LAUNCH DAY!!!! 

I’m Hazel Dolphy, the founder, and creative director of Loving My Vegan Life (LMVL), an amazing clothing and lifestyle brand for all of us HAPPY VEGANS! I am so proud and elated to share with you all my new small business.
Thank you so much for being here with me. I’d love to share with you how I conceived this great statement of a brand, “Loving My Vegan Life” and I hope this gives you the motivation to start your journey and spread love, the Vegan Way!

Connecting the dots!

One day, I was listening to an inspiring interview with Mark Cuban. He was being interviewed by the inspiring trio within the “Earn Your Leisure” brand. During this interview, he stated that it was important to have multiple streams of income, i.e. a lot of businesses. I agreed!! I began to ponder and it hit me like lightning. I always wanted to find a fun way to encourage my friends and family to become vegan. After I mulled around with the idea for a short while, I decided to spread my love for veganism in a fashionable creative way, and on February 15, 2021, the brand was conceived. I felt that this vegan lifestyle brand can be worn as apparel or shown as a decorative statement piece in your home!

My goal is to inspire and educate all those that are on a quest for veganism through the Loving My Vegan Life (LMVL) brand and to encourage those that are vegans to continue being great examples to their communities. 

When did I become vegan?

I became a vegan in 2010, way before it was popular… with my family and friends! It was unheard of in my Jamaican household, unless you were a Rastafarian and that I wasn’t. At first, I was a pescatarian for a long time, however, when the BP oil spill happened, I decided to become a vegan. In addition, I saw a lot of documentaries that made me very aware of the pain and cruelty that sea animals were also facing and I could not partake in that. 

Since then, I’ve been eating lots of fruits, veggies, and provisions (traditional root vegetable staples such as yams, sweet potatoes, dasheen root (taro), and cassava). While feeling judged, I went on with the thoughts that I love my vegan life. Saying that all the time, made me want to use that phrase in my company.

I haven’t always been the example of a healthy vegan. I’d eat my fair share of processed vegan food, i.e., chick’n sandwiches and pizza to name a few. Although I still engage in those, I don’t go overboard with my consumption. I believe it is very important to be balanced, to wake up with the intent to eat the best “fuel” for your body and to find the time to exercise. We all know health is the truest wealth! 

What is to come?

I believe that we all have a gift called LIFE. I am fulfilling the purpose of my life!
We must feed our souls with the right food and information. During our journey together as vegans and vegans in training, I will blog and vlog all my great vegan moments. I will share my recipes, restaurants I’ve dined in, and so much more on Loving My Vegan Life TV (Youtube) and right here on this site.  In addition, we will also dress the part with these fun statements’ vegan tees and household items!
